Thanks! I'm not usually a writer of fanfics but this little bunny wouldn't go away! And thanks for considering the plot bunny I left at your lj! Gil/Nick post-GD angst-- mmm...
I joined the CSI fandom late, explaining why I'm doing a post-GD fic now, and I totally identify with what you said recently on your lj about CSI fic writers leaving the fandom. (Like those two above your reply! *g*)
It's depressing, neh? CSI (the show) is on the decline, fic activity is slowing down, but I thought: I'll look on the bright side! CSI having it's heyday 1,2,? years back means we have many completed fics waiting for us to read in fic archives. No need to "Wait till next Wednesday" or something to find out how Nick's doing to get whumped/get comforted/get whumped again.
It makes sense, it's a natural progression of things. CSI is starting its 8th season while newer shows are only into their 3rd-ish (?) seasons, so now those newer show are in their heyday.
Hope this rant identifies with what you said. I needed to blab it out for my own benefit too!
