I'm in complete agreement with Dee on this one; and I'm not a Nick/Gil fan. I can't even tell you why I read this but I'm glad I did. It was beautifully written, heart breaking in it's theme matter and a brilliant testimony to the human determination to find hope in the most hopeless situations.
